On Thursday 10th March, eight lucky children from Year 4 attended the fairandfunky Fairtrade Conference. Throughout the day, they took part in different activities to find out more about Fairtrade. We travelled to Pakistan and learned about the people who make Fairtrade footballs, making our own from recycled materials. We researched world Fairtrade food products, travelled to Ghana to find out how chocolate is made as well as tasting some fair trade chocolate. We also travelled to the Philippines and discovered what products are made from recycled newspaper before making our own photo frames. The children and staff had a fantastic day and we were really excited to have a certificate presented to us by the MP Jo Cox.
